Kunchacko Boban makes his character look believable. Still, what works in favour of the movie is the acting part. Also, the proceedings inside the courtroom are a bit too dramatic.
The efforts to generate laughs in between seem forced. The settings look too perfect and the detailing is excessive at times. There is indeed an interesting plot here but the problem is with the writing and the execution. Then, the kid narrates the story of another murder. Naturally, this becomes a puzzle for John Baby, who becomes friendly with Sharmila and Nithin. There are no chances for the kid to know about the locations or the happenings. This unveils the mystery behind the disappearance of a firebrand youth in Karuvatta, several years back. The story narrated by the kid shocks John and he decides to do an investigation on it, with the help of local police. John decides to meet the kid, in the presence of his single mother, Sharmila (Nayanthara). She narrates a strange incident where a young student named Nithin (Izin Hash) at school, where she is a consultant, narrates a murder story. When he rejoins duty, he is facing certain post-trauma effects for which he consults a psychologist, who happens to be his best friend’s wife.
